YOUTH IN CITY GOVERNMENT
Become part of a fifty year Cincinnati area tradition and have fun learning about your city government by participating in the Youth in City Government Program. This two day event takes place every October. City Government comes alive for teens from Cincinnati area high schools during this tree day, hands-on program. Students have the opportunity to voice their opinions and share their ideas with city administrators, elected officials, and other Cincinnati students. Students are given the responsibility for the planning, implementation, and leadership of the conference. They may write and vote on ordinances, run for city offices, and speak their minds on current events. Highlights include elections held in the city council chambers, and a luncheon with city officials. This year's conference October 5 & 6 2010.
