The mission of the International Committee is to put Christian principles into practice through international programs that: (1) help people overcome difficult living conditions; (2) help people understand and become involved with different cultures; (3) educate people about global issues and the work of the YMCA around the world; (4) provide opportunities for YMCA members, staff and volunteers to develop the leadership skills they need to motivate and coordinate the international work of the YMCA; and (5) provide opportunities for international exchange and learning for YMCA members, staff and volunteers.
