The Ohio Youth in Government program is a Model State Legislature where hundreds of Ohio youth will take over the Capitol Building for a day to discuss their own ideas, students from the state write bills and attempt to make them law, acting as Representatives and Senators in the actual Statehouse Chamber. Starting the week of October 5th we're offering 2 new group exercise classes: Monday 8:15am H.I.I.T class with Lynn | High Intensity Interval Training is a type of cardio training in which you alternate short, very high intensity intervals with longer, slower intervals to recover. This type of training has been shown to not only help with athletic performance, but also improve the ability of the muscles to burn fat (first class 10/5) Friday 8:15am Silver Sneaker Circuit class with Pam | Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises. (first class 10/9)
