AQUATICS
We are proud to offer the National YMCA Swim Lessons program. Participants are taught not only swimming skills, but also skills that will allow them to enjoy aquatic activities throughout their lives. The YMCA Swim Lessons program is based on the concept of developing a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Contact Mary Huber, aquatics manager with questions.
Aquatic Theme Days
Ages 3-6
Enjoy an afternoon of crafts, puppets, swimming & snacks. Sign up early. Price increases $3 the Wednesday before the Theme Day. Emergency forms due at registration. Bring a bag lunch.

Parent and Child Swim Lessons
Ages 6 months to 3 years
Parents are in the water with their child, participating in the class. Students are introduced to basic swimming skills as they learn safety and enjoyment in an aquatic environment.
PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS
Ages 3-5
Pike
Little or no swimming ability.
Pre-Eel
For those children who have almost completed Pike requirements but need more work. Comfortable in the water, can swim 15-20 feet consistently (any stroke) without a float belt.
Eel
Must be able to swim consistently front, back & side 10 yards without float belt; must be able to jump off the side and return to the wall without assistance.
Ray
Must be able to swim front, back & side 25 yards without float belt; must be comfortable in deep water (10’).
Starfish
Front rhythmic breathing almost perfected; must be able to swim 25 yards each front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke; beginning to perfect sidestroke.
YOUTH SWIM LESSONS
Ages 6-12
Polliwog
Little or no swimming ability.
Guppy
Swim without float belt 20 feet front, back and side; jump in and return to side without assistance.
Minnow
Must be able to swim without belt 25 yards front, back and side; rudimentary rhythmic breathing on front. Jump in and return to side without assistance. Must be comfortable in the deep water (10’).
Fish
Must be able to swim 25 yards each front crawl with rotary breathing, rudimentary breaststroke, rudimentary sidestroke with scissors kick and elementary backstroke; must be able to jump off diving board and return to side safely.
Flying Fish
Must be able to swim 50 yards each: front crawl with rotary breathing, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, back crawl and sidestroke; 15 yards butterfly; perform a standing dive.
Stroke
Ages 6-12
Must be minnow or higher. To improve front crawl, back crawl, breast and butterfly. Will work on endurance and strength.

Ages 13 and up
An instructional program for teens and adults who would like to learn to swim or just improve their swimming skills.
Adapted Swim Lessons
Ages 3 and up
Swim lessons for persons with special needs. These are based on pool and instructor availability and are set up one-on-one or for small groups. Contact Mary Huber for more information.
Private Swim Lessons
Private lessons are available based on pool and instructor availability. Lessons are set up during other scheduled swim lessons. Contact Mary Huber to arrange these lessons.

Sandsharks Swim Team
Ages 5+
This is an introduction to competitive swimming without the full-scale commitment. Swimmers practice the basics of all four competitive strokes, starts, turns and finishes. Pre-competitive meets are scheduled within the session. Must be able to swim 25 yards front and back.
Tigershark Swim Team
Ages 6-18
Join the Tigershark Swim Team, one of the best YMCA teams in the United States. The team competes in YMCA and USA Swimming meets on the Local, Regional and National Levels. The short course (indoor pool) season runs September through April. Progressive practice groups are designed for swimmers of all levels, ages 6-18. Join the team for a two-week trial period for $25. Tigershark Competitive Stroke Clinic
A competitive swimming clinic which will concentrate on all aspects of strokes, starts & turns, featuring video analysis of all strokes, extensive stroke work & exercises, detailed stroke correction chart for each participant and personalized attention. Must know all four competitive strokes.
I Tried Scuba
Try this two-hour introduction and experience this fantastic sport of underwater exploration. If you like water and watching the TV thrills of scuba diving, you’ll love this event. Call 521-DIVE for more details.
Y Scuba
This class involves three phases: classroom, pool and open certification. The YMCA course was the first nationally certified and still has the highest standards throughout the world. Classes run for five weeks. All equipment is provided during class training. Call 521-DIVE for more details.
WATER FITNESS
Aquatic exercise is an ideal way to attain and/or maintain aerobic fitness, increase flexibility and burn calories without high impact to the body. PCY offers shallow & deep water exercise programs. These programs emphasize core stability, strength and alignment, as well as aerobic conditioning. No swimming ability is required.

We offer a well-rounded program encouraging the development of children to their fullest potential. Our program is academic and developmental in a safe and nurturing environment that encourages independence, confidence, and positive self-esteem. Contact Kristi Rohrkasse for more information.

Schools Day Out
Children ages 6-12, will participate in theme-related games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, and much more. Program runs from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

- March 28 - April 5
Member: $35 per day
Program Participant: $45 per day
Child Watch
Child Watch is available for children (ages infant to 10) whose parents are participating in YMCA programs and remain on the premises. There is a two hour time limit per day.

Day Camp in the Pines
Ages 6-11
Our traditional day camp is accredited by the American Camping Association. Children participate in fun and educational activities in the great outdoors. This full-day program (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) includes one field trip or special guest per week, plus swimming each day. Hamilton County Child Care Vouchers are accepted. Child must be entering first grade.
Pre and Post Camp
Ages 6-12
We offer Pre (6:30 a.m.- 9 a.m.) and Post (4 p.m. - 6 p.m.) Camp care for parents who work outside of Day Camp hours. Hamilton County Child Care Vouchers are accepted.
Teen Camp
Ages 12-14
Teen campers will have all the fun that day campers do with field trips, games, crafts and swimming. These weeks feature a combination of traditional camp activities with programs geared toward leadership development, cultural awareness, self-worth and community understanding. Hamilton County Child Care Vouchers accepted.
Leaders in Training (LIT)
Ages 13-15
The key feature of the LIT program is hands-on training. LITs will work with younger campers with the guidance of a mentor counselor. Leadership development, relationship building and daily structured training sessions are an important part of the day. LITs will do service-learning projects throughout the summer and participate in Day Camp field trips. The LIT program is selective and interested campers must apply and interview for the program by May 31.
Sports and Specialty Camps
Ages 3-12
A variety of specialized sports camps and specialty programs will be offered throughout the summer. Sports and specialty camps are half-day (9 a.m. - Noon) camps unless noted in camp brochure.
Teen Achievers
This group is open to anyone in grades 7-12. The club will work on Toastmasters, Youth in Government, and more.
Parents' Night Out
Ages 6 weeks - 12
Parents, enjoy a night out and know that your kids will be having a wonderful time at the YMCA! Children will be engaged in fun activities including swimming in the waterpark, playing in the gym and watching a movie. Infants and children under 3 will spend the evening in the Child Watch Center. Children 6 and older should bring a swimsuit and towel. Children must be pre-registered at the Welcome Center.
Family Nights
Take a break from your normal routine and join PCY for a night of fun! Look forward to a different family activity each month.
Tae Kwon Do
An excellent program to enhance your level of physical fitness, gain self-confidence and improve self-discipline while learning this traditional art of self-defense. New students must pay by first Wednesday of each month.
Jin Judo
Judo is a system of self-defense and exercise designed to keep people of all ages mentally and physically fit. It focuses on leverage & balance over strength and force.
Drop and Shop
Ages 6 weeks - 12
Don't miss out on all the big sales because you have the kids at home! Drop your child off with our trained child care staff while you get a head start on your holiday shopping. Children can look forward to games, arts and crafts, and more! Children 6 and older should bring a swimsuit and towel. Children must be pre-registered at the Welcome Center.
Adventure Guides and Princesses
Join this fun-filled family program! Dads and sons/daughters enjoy camping, field trips, arts and crafts projects and so much more! This is a family strengthening program that incorporates character development, asset building and increased involvement of parents with their children. Recruitment begins in early September.
Tippi Toes Dance
Tippi Toes is a fun, encouraging and kid-friendly class for boys and girls. Children ages 18 months -3 will enjoy our Mommy and Me class and children ages 3-7 will enjoy Ballet, Tap, and Jazz combo class. For children ages 6-12, we offer age-appropriate Hip-Hop class where students start learning choreography quickly, as well as learning various dance elements.

Tumblers
Age 3
This class is designed to give your child basic gymnastics knowledge and develop gross motor skills. Child must be three by first class.
Bounders
Ages 4-5
This class is a longer version of Tumblers, where emphasis is on movement education. Child must be four by first class.
Bounders Too!
Ages 4 ½ - 5
This is a longer class than Bounders, designed for a child wanting more, but not ready for Developmental Twisters. This class will only be open for children who have taken four or more sessions of Tumblers/Bounders.
Developmental Twisters
Ages 4-5
This is a great class for a young gymnast with advanced strength and skill, who can handle a longer class. Invitation only.
PROGRESSIVE GYMNASTICS
Ages 6-12
Rollers
For the beginning gymnast who has little or no gymnastics experience.
Swingers
Must have completed Rollers or equivalent and be able to do forward and backward rolls, backbend, handstand on floor, jump to front support on bars.
Kippers
Must have completed Swingers or equivalent and be able to do round offs, forward roll on balance beam.
Boys Gymnastics
Designed to give boys the opportunity to practice difficult gymnastics events in order to build strength, coordination, and flexibility. This class is for beginning male gymnasts with little or no experience.
Twisters Pre-Team (Level Three)
Designed for the skilled gymnast as a stepping stone to our competitive team or a good class for the serious gymnast. Must have instructor approval to enroll.

OTHER GYMNASTICS CLASSES
Movement Fundamentals
Ages 5+
This class is designed to introduce your child to the beginnings of gymnastics and the basics of movement. It is intended to help children with physical limitations or developmental needs by introducing the skills with modifications as needed for each individual child.
Gymnastics Fun
Ages 5+
Once per month we are offering open gym time where gymnasts can have the chance to work on their skills.
Private Gymnastics Lessons
If you son or daughter needs a little extra time to get the skills they need, consider a private lesson. Set up through instructor of your choice, based on availability of all. Can be sold in packages.
Monarch Gymnastics Team
The Monarchs are one of the top YMCA teams competing USAG Levels 4-9 in the Great Lakes Region. Team tryouts are open to serious gymnasts ages 6 and up. Must be a YMCA member. Seasonal team fees. Team practices vary M-F 4 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Email Kristin Butsch or visit www.pcymonarchs.com for more information.
TUMBLING
Ages 6-12
Beginning Tumbling
This class is designed for the beginner who wants to learn rolls, cartwheels, backbends, and round-offs. Class focuses only on floor tumbling skills.
Advanced Tumbling
Students should be competent in cartwheels and round-offs. Focus is on floor tumbling including front handsprings, back handsprings, and more.
Tumbling 4 Cheer
This class is for ages 10 and up and is designed to work cheerleading-specific tumbling needs: back handsprings, and more.
Health and Fitness Center
Our Health and Fitness Center is included in your membership fees and is everything you need for your workouts. Now featuring the revolutionary ActivTrax program. Members may request an orientation. Open to members 16 and over, or Teen Fit certified (available for ages 13-15).
Teen Fit
Ages 13-15
Teen members ages 13-15 are invited to sign up for a Teen Fit orientation class. This is a one and a half hour class the parent must attend with their teen. Upon completion, teen members will be approved to use the Fitness Center.
Personal Training
This program allows you to work directly with a certified personal trainer each time you exercise. This is a great way to stay motivated or to add to your fitness routine. Available to members only (16 years and older) at an additional cost. Contact the Fitness Center staff for more information.

GROUP EXERCISE
Group exercise classes are included with membership. A token is required for entry into Cycling, Zumba & SilverSneakers MSROM classes. Tokens are available at the Welcome Center by presenting your membership card a maximum of 30 minutes prior to class time (one per person). Teens 13 and older may participate in group exercise classes.
Strength Classes
Focus is on muscular strength, toning and core.
- Stability Ball - Strength and core workout using a stability ball and dumbbells.
- Body Sculpting - Full body strength training using barbell & dumbbells.
- Ball & Bar Strength - One and a half hour combination class using barbell and ball for a complete workout.
- SilverSneakers MSROM - Seated senior workout emphasizes strength, balance and range of motion.
Cardio Classes
Emphasizes increasing your heart rate to burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance.
- Zumba - Latin music based fitness class. Class is music based and easy to follow.
- Step Aerobics - Aerobic class using a platform to perform combinations to music.
- Bellydance - Perform traditional belly dance moves in a fast-paced Zumba-style format.
- Kickboxing - Class combines a variety of kickboxing moves performed to music.
- Cycling - Moderate to high intensity stationary bike group workout. Token, towel, and water bottle required.
- Youth Cycling – ages 9-14; must be 4'8" tall. - Token, towel, water bottle required for this 30 min. group cycling class.
Combination Classes
Designed to mix cardio and strength training workouts.
- Aerofit - Offers mid and low intensity aerobics and floor work performed to music.
- Cardio Pump - A moderate to high intensity interval class with Boot Camp style.
- SilverSneakers Cardio Circuit - Standing senior workout combining cardio, balance and strength.
Flexibility Classes
Focus is on stretching, toning and relaxation.
- Pilates - Combines strength, core work and balance using Pilates mat exercises.
- Yoga - Concentrates on strength, flexibility & balance using traditional yoga postures.
- Stretching - Basic full body stretching techniques for flexibility.
- SilverSneakers YogaStretch - Seated senior workout for stretching balance and flexibility.
YOUTH FITNESS
Toddler Time
Ages 15 months - 2
This class gets parents involved with their toddlers as they explore kid-friendly, skill-building activities together.
Terrific Twos
Age 2
This class will work gross motor skills such as running, skipping, hopping, jumping and using music and games. Parents are encouraged to stay in case child needs extra direction.
Gym and Swim
Ages 3-5
This is a combined 45 minute gym class followed by a 30 minute swim orientation. This program is designed to aid in the development of movement skills, eye-hand/foot coordination and game playing. The swimming portion is an orientation to water and swimming skills, but this is not a swimming class. Child must be potty-trained.
Homeschool Gym and Swim Program
Grades K-10
Join us for a low-key land and water program that is non-aggressive and non-competitive. The goal is physical fitness through a variety of experiences.
ZumbAtomic
Ages 4-12
Are your kids looking for a way to have fun and stay fit? ZumbAtomic is just what they need – a class designed especially for kids to encourage them to develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness in their lives through dance, music, and exercise.
Youth Sports Leagues
All leagues are for both boys and girls with an emphasis on instruction, fun, caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Players are divided into teams with a volunteer coach. There is one assigned practice and one game per week. Volunteer coaches and referees are needed for each league. Leagues include basketball, flag football, baseball, soccer, and girls' volleyball.
- Winter One - Youth Basketball (ages 8-12), Indoor Soccer (ages 3-7)
- Winter Two - Youth Volleyball (ages 8-15)
Y Sports Sampler
Ages 3-5
Children are taught the basic skills of all of the sports offered at the Y. This is a great introduction to our sports leagues. Class includes soccer, basketball, gymnastics, tennis, and more!
Volleyball Skill Development
Ages 6-12
Your child can learn the skills and techniques of the game of volleyball. This class will run opposite of the volleyball league season to allow players to keep up their skills throughout the year.
TENNIS/RACQUETBALL LESSONS
Preschool
Ages 4-7
Designed as an introduction for your children.
Beginners
Ages 8-13
Designed for school-age children who have never had a formal lesson.
Advanced Beginners
Ages 8-14
Must know basic grip & stance for forehand, backhand, serve, and volley. Basic footwork begins to appear with all strokes. Ability to hit 3-4 balls in succession accross the net.
Private Lessons
Private tennis and racquetball lessons can be arranged by emailing Tim Lutz.
Racquetball Flex Leagues
Our leagues will help you get on a regular schedule of racquetball. Tune up your skills and timing, as well as introduce yourself to new players. Matches are arranged at the convenience of the players.
Morning Volleyball
Adults who enjoy volleyball and want to work on their skills should plan to attend adult volleyball.
Sunday Night Co-Rec Volleyball League
This league consists of 2 co-rec 6’s brackets (A and B levels of play). Games are played on Sunday nights between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Sand Volleyball
Leagues run from mid-May to early August with a 9-game schedule and finish with an end-of season tournament. Get your team together or leave your name at the Welcome Center to be placed on a team. All teams must have at least one YMCA member.
Birthday Parties
Let the YMCA host your child's next birthday party. Available Saturdays & Sundays 12-2 pm, 1-3 pm, 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. We provide a party room and host, one hour of swimming in our waterpark, one hour for food/presents & cake. Reservations must be made in person at the Welcome Center.
Facility Rentals
Is your group or organization looking for somewhere to hold a meeting or special event? Look no further than your own YMCA! Your group can rent part of the facility during business hours, or the entire facility for a fun after-hours event.
Pioneers' Club
This is a social club for retired PCY members that promotes friendship & activities through programs and trips to local points of interest.
Senior Potluck Luncheons
Come share your stories and recipes with friends. Check the Welcome Center for dates and times.

The Y's Annual Support Campaign raises funds to provide program and membership assistance. We also offer flexible membership rates based on household income. Membership Types
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is a nonprofit organization committed to helping all people grow in spirit, mind and body. To insure that our programs and services are available for all, we offer the following membership types:
- Family/Household – Two adults and any dependent children under age 24 living at the same address. Additional adults ages 19 and over living at the same address may be added to the membership for an additional fee per month per adult.
- Two Adult Household – Two adults, age 18-64, living in same household.
- One Parent Family – Includes single, or legally separated person, and any dependent children under age 24 living at the same address.
- Adult – Individual, age 18 through 64
- Senior Citizen Family/Household – Same as Family/Household except either adult is age 65 or over.
- Senior Citizen Adult – Individual, age 65 or older
- Teen - Individual, ages 13-17
